Old Stortfordian (OS), Charlotte Aitchison (GH, BH, 99-10), better known as pop superstart, Charli XCX, dominated the 2025 Brit Awards held on Saturday 1 March, taking home a staggering five trophies.
The most nominated artist at this year’s awards, Charli secured awards for Album of the Year for her inventive and bold summer sensation album, Brat, Song of the Year, for the remix of her smash-hit Guess featuring Billie Eilish, Artist of the Year, Best Dance Act, and Songwriter of the Year.
Accepting the award for Artist of the Year, Charli added “Thank you to all the artists out there who feel like they don’t fit in, that are brave enough to try and be rejected a million times, I share this with you.”
Charli’s Brit Awards success follows her triumph at the Grammys, held earlier this year, where she scooped three awards for Best Dance/Electronic Album, Best Recording Package, and Best Dance Pop Recording.
The College is extremely proud of Charli, and would like to extend their congratulations and wish her all the best for the future.
