Old Stortfordian (OS), Charlotte Aitchison (GH, BH, 99-10), better known as Charli XCX, won not only her first ever Grammy, but secured three of the coveted music awards at the 67th Grammy Awards on Sunday 2 February 2025.
Having secured eight nominations back in November 2024 for Album of the Year, Record of the Year, Best Pop Solo Performance, Best Music Video, Best Pop Duo/Group Performance, Best Dance/Electronic Album, Best Dance Pop Recording, and Best Recording Package, Charli won the Best Dance/Electronic Album and Best Recording Package awards for her summer smash hit album, Brat, and Best Dance Pop Recording for her song Von Dutch.
Last nominated in 2015 with the song Fancy, on which she collaborated with artist Iggy Azalea, Charli made a triumphant return to the awards ceremony this year, taking to the stage to perform Von Dutch and Guess for her fellow nominees.
Kicking off her first solo US tour in April this year, and on the line-up for the Coachella music festival, the College is extremely proud of Charli’s fantastic achievements.
