Peterson Secures Gold at Africa Aquatics Zone III Swimming Championships

Upper Fifth pupil, Peterson I, secured six medals at the Africa Aquatics Zone III Swimming Championships, alongside placing 2^nd overall in the age 15-16 men’s swimming category.

Hosted in Burundi from 22-24 November, the Championships saw young athletes aged 12-26 representing Uganda, Burundi, Tanzania, Kenya, and Sudan compete in individual and team events.

Congratulations to Peterson for these fantastic achievements!

Representing team Uganda, Peterson competed in the 50m and 100m breast stroke, 50m, 100m, and 200m freestyle, 50m and 100m backstroke, and 50m fly, securing two gold and four silver medals. Tallying 136 points total with his impressive swimming, Peterson was the 2^nd highest scoring swimmer in the age 15-16 men’s category, just three points behind 1^st place.
