Senior School
Some schools will perform very well academically but will lack breadth when it comes to the range of sports, activities, and interest clubs that make up the rounded person.
From the moment your child joins us, a wide range of clubs, clinics, and societies will be open to them alongside musical and theatrical opportunities, and sport at both House and competitive levels.
“I believe the true strength of the College is the breadth, rather than the success of any one part. There is no other school in the area where you are able to succeed at any combination of academic, sport, drama, music and many other interest areas all at the same time, giving you the widest education possible and fulfilling your potential.” Former Pupil

A programme of clubs and societies has been developed to ensure your child enjoys a range of extra-curricular opportunities aimed at supporting their inter-personal development and wellbeing. Many of the opportunities are linked to the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme, however the programme of clubs and societies on offer also enables your child to build on their academic progress and passions, transferring their academic learning to more practical scenarios. Our programme has been developed under three broad categories; creative, active, and cultural.
As well as traditional creative opportunities across music, art, and drama, less traditional opportunities are also on offer including film making, computer coding and programming, Warhammer, design, cookery, theatre tech, debating, and creative writing.
Active opportunities are offered across a range of sports including dance, football, squash, rugby, hockey, netball, tennis, basketball, and water polo as well as other outdoor pursuits.
Understanding the world around us, the different people in it and their culture is one of the best ways we can learn from each other and learn more about ourselves. It informs our way of being, shapes our beliefs and values, and influences behaviours. Our programme offers opportunities to explore the past civilisations of ancient Greece and ancient Rome, as well as literature, music, and film from other cultures and enables your child to play their part and learn more about important global agendas such as sustainability and human rights.
In addition to our clubs and societies, your child will participate in a Life Skills programme which supports their personal and professional development, broadening their experiences and provides them with skills for life beyond school. Your child will benefit from a range of four-week modules including video editing, financial literacy, digital skills, podcasting, international relations, photography, public speaking, current affairs, and first aid.
These opportunities will up skill your child in so many areas. They will leave us knowing they can do it, and with the confidence of knowing how to function in the new world that we are all going to embrace.
Your child will have the opportunity to participate in sport on a regular basis, competitively or simply for pleasure. From weekly Games lessons, to competitive sports fixtures played at the highest level, to fun yet fiercely fought House competitions, your child will quickly find their sporting level and excel.

Our music offer is extensive and your child will be provided with the appropriate resources to develop their individual musicianship. Whether independently through individual music lessons or performing as part of our orchestra, ensembles, band or choir, your child’s participation and musical talents will be supported and encouraged.
If theatrical development is a path your child is looking to take, this can be thoroughly explored through drama lessons, performance workshops and as part of our annual programme of productions, which take place in our onsite theatre.
